Salt-N-Pepa are one of the most groundbreaking and influential female rap groups in music history. Consisting of Cheryl "Salt" James, Sandra "Pepa" Denton, and originally DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper), Salt-N-Pepa emerged in the mid-1980s as one of the first all-female hip-hop acts to achieve mainstream success.
